For Lame Goat Press's second foray into the world of anthologies, we've decided to take on dragons. You've got your typical sword & sorcery dragons, and then you've got your zombie dragons, wild west dragons, cyberpunk dragons, etc.
I’m looking for all manner of dragon stories (500 words to 5000 words in length) that take place across a number of genres: fantasy, sci-fi, horror, even mystery. If it's speculative fiction, then I'm interested in it.
I'm also looking for ONE poem with which to open the anthology. If you feel you have what it takes, feel free to submit.
No decisions will be made until after the deadline, although I MAY be quick on rejects.
Word count for this anthology is expected to be 80000 words. Submissions must be double spaced in .rtf format with name, address, e-mail address, and word count at top of submission. Use 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Include a short bio and a publishing history in your cover letter.
Look for this to go to print in early to mid '10. Unfortunately, as Lame Goat Press is still in its infancy, we are unable to compensate our authors with payment or contributor copies. Hopefully, with the royalties from our first antho, Horror Through The Ages, we'll soon be able to. :)
Send subs to cjacobsmeyer@msn.com with KINGS SUBMISSION in the subject line.
Visit Lame Goat Press at LAMEGOATPRESS.PROBOARDS.COM.
Deadline for KINGS submissions is Monday, November 30th. Any received after that date will be deleted unread. Good luck!
Good morning. I have done what I said I would and have offered this information elsewhere. :)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with this, as always.
I hope that you will do an anthology that falls within my realm, I'd like to work with you in the future.
Hi, just wondering if you'd consider reprints? I've a flash piece that hopefully would be ideal, but it appeared in OG's Spec Fic a couple of years back.
ReplyDeleteI'm not opposed to rewrites AS LONG AS they haven't appeared in an anthology before. We only request First Anthology Rights at LGP. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a short story--440 words--and it's a reprint--though never in an anthology. Would you like to take a look at it?
ReplyDeleteI sent a story and a poem. Several times, actually, as I re-read your requirements...
